Ceci’s journey to bring a bit of joy and a smile to children undergoing medical treatment started very early in life. At the age of eight, she suddenly started suffering from headaches, vomiting and double vision. Her doctors soon discovered she had a brain tumor. On February 14, 2018, she was admitted into TCH to undergo emergency surgery to relieve pressure around her brain. Ceci was in the hospital for over a month undergoing multiple surgeries, MRIs, physical and occupational therapy. During her stay she was surprised by the love and gifts she received from family, friends, and even strangers.
With the support of her Oncologist Dr. Frank Lin, Pediatrician Dr. Neva Greenly, her TCH Care Team, The Sunshine Kids, Periwinkle Foundation and Make a Wish her journey continues.
